― Black Teas ―

Coerthan Tea
A simple cup of tea made purely from Coerthan tea leaves.
North to South
This tea blend contains leaves from two regions ― Coerthas and the Shroud. For those with a liking for robust and bitter flavours, this cup may be preferable.
Heaven of Ice
Coerthan tea, Galago mint, Sagolii sage, and a drop of mint-flavoured syrup. This fragrant tea leaves a cooling sensation on the tongue!
Regional Hot Tea
While The Lavish Brew prides itself on the usage of Coerthan tea, we also offer plain cups of Shroud and Thanalan tea.
Ser Pattrisaux's Cup
(PROCEED WITH CAUTION)
Named after the original owner of The Lavish Brew, Ser Pattrisaux de Isedaire. Similar to the currently trending Skybuilders' Tea, there is so much sugar mixed into this cup that one may question the state of their dental & cardiovascular health afterwards.
Each cup of Ser Pattrisaux's Cup purchased and consumed to completion is one monetary donation made to Ser Vaindreau's Grace, though exceptions may be made.

Ishgardian Tea
Coerthan tea leaves steeped directly in yak milk. For many Ishgardians, a hot cup of Ishgardian tea is a classic taste of home.
The Ul'dahn Envoy
Sweet Thanalan Tea with an Ishgardian twist. A blend of Thanalan and Coerthan tea mixed with yak milk and birch syrup.
The Oldrose Bush
This floral infusion comprises Coerthan tea, Oldrose petals, Oldrose hips, Lavender, and vanilla bean. One may feel like they're taking a stroll through a beautiful garden just by scent alone!

― Herbal Teas ―

Chamomile
Dried chamomile flowers steeped in hot water. Many claim that tea made from chamomile does wonders for aiding in relaxation.
Ginger
Made from Pearl Ginger, this tea contains a warm, somewhat spicy taste. Served along with a wedge of lemon.

Bitterdrake Root
Despite its name, the Dravanian Bitterdrake root isn't actually bitter at all! Bitterdrake tea is rumoured to be popular amongst the nobility and also eases the stress of gravidity. (lore source!)
Double Mint
A refreshing, cooling tea that consists of both Galago Mint, Furymint, and Heavens Lemon peels.

― Other Beverages ―

Hot Chocolate
A favourite of Ishgardian children and adults alike! A mug of warm yak milk mixed with Kukuru powder.
Yak Milk
It is what it is. A mug of warmed pasteurised milk from one of House Isedaire's yaks.
Heavens Lemonade
A cold, refreshing glass of lemonade made from freshly squeezed Heavens Lemons.

(Seasonal) Furymint Hot Chocolate
A cup of hot chocolate with a splash of Furymint syrup and a slowly-melting chunk of marshmallow. For lovers of Chocolate and Mint, this drink is the best of both worlds!
(Seasonal) Spiced Eggnog
A creamy concoction created with eggs, cream, and sugar. A dash of cinnamon and nutmeg is added for a bit of extra flavour.

― Rules to Consider ―

Be Respectful
Treat others the way you'd like to be treated! Always remember that communication is key. Do not intentionally provoke others OOC or overstep boundaries.
Keep it PG-13
IC & OOC NSFW chatter is prohibited. A tea shop isn't the place for this sort of subject matter. Take it elsewhere.
Spoiler Policy
We ask that you be mindful of spoiler talk IC and OOC.
What TLB considers to be spoiler content is anything taking place within less than [two weeks] of a story patch's release. Once that period is over, you're good to go!

Lore-Compliance
PLEASE NOTE: None of us are the lore-police. You are most certainly welcome to have fun in the way you see fit.
However, we politely request that you maintain a level of self-awareness whilst role-playing in this venue. In The Lavish Brew, we encourage
lore-friendliness in an effort to establish a middle ground between how our patrons prefer their immersion in RP. Thank you in advance, and apologies for the inconvenience!

― A Quick Q+A ―

What Type of Venue is "The Lavish Brew"?
The Lavish Brew is a semi-traditional Ishgardian tea shop located in the city, itself!
While it's in-game location is currently in the Empyreum, its actual IC location is in the backroads of the Pillars. It's just a short stroll from the Jeweled Crozier.
The shop itself is over thirty years old. While it slowly grew to become a successful business, it was unfortunately forced to close its doors following the Calamity. Recently, it has gained a new owner and has opened to the public once more after a long period of repairs and renovations. Lady Lissette, the current owner and niece of the original founder, would love to tell you more of The Lavish Brew's history should the topic be brought up.

What Would Be Some Reasons for my Character to Visit?
• If your character is Ishgardian or has visited Ishgard at some point within the last thirty years, perhaps they may have been a visitor in the past! Or at the very least, they have heard of or seen the shop in passing once before.
• Is your character currently touring through Ishgard? Perhaps they would be on the lookout for local eateries! Or simply in search of respite from the cold.• A daily free cup of tea and pastry for those currently in service to Ishgard!• Hot food and beverages affordable to even those of lower income.• There is a small advertisement posted on a bulletin board in the Jeweled Crozier and outside of the Forgotten Knight. Easy to miss, but still able to be spotted if one looks hard enough.

Where are the Prices?
To give a short, straightforward answer: Many people have different ways of interpreting the value of gil in RP, so the decision was made to keep prices vague.
With that said, if you require a generic price range for goods offered at The Lavish Brew, many items are affordable to those of lower incomes. Meanwhile, items from the main floor shop area may be a bit more pricy. It's down to what your character perceives to be within their budget!

Would The Lavish Brew like to Collaborate for an Event?
It depends! Are you, as an event host, capable of clear communication and keeping things at least somewhat organised? If so, we'll be more than happy to work with you! If not, then we must politely decline.

None of the Staff are Online. May I still RP Here?
Of course! Should no staff be online or available for RP, you are more than welcome to make use of the building for RP. NPCs (Housing vendors) will take our place while we're gone! All we ask is that you are mindful of our rules and don't make a mess of the place.

Is The Lavish Brew Currently Hiring any Player Staff?
We are not in need of additional player staff at this time, though we thank you for your interest!
